ISSUE 1

For my first issue, I’m sharing with you my top three wardrobe additions and the muses I'm inspired by at the moment. I always gravitate towards women who have a sense of ease in the way they dress. They are never overly done and rely on classic foundations. My current inspirations are Princess Caroline of Monaco, Elle Fanning, Sofia Coppola and Joan Didion. This spring is all about cleansing the palette - bringing in lighter neutrals and various shades of brown and camel to enrich the pieces you already have in your wardrobe.

1.

THE SLOUCHY DENIM

I recently tried Jeanerica's Belem jean after looking for the perfect slouchy fit. It's not easy to find the right amount of ease while still looking flattering. The sizing runs large - if you are in between sizes order your smaller size. My friend also recently purchased this chino style, which I also love.

HOW TO WEAR IT …

The wide-leg denim from Jeanerica gives this uniform look a modern edge but if you prefer a straight leg fit I also like this style from Tove. Add a cashmere knit around your shoulders from Salie 66 (they are luxurious, incredibly well made and on sale too). Soft Goat also makes gorgeous, simple knitwear. Pearls feel fresh this season especially from Sophie Buhai's new collection or opt for a simple version from Mejuri. The Emme Parsons embossed croc loafers in espresso ground the look and will work with many other closet staples.

2.

THE BLAZER

Rohé, a relatively new brand established in 2021, is on my radar this spring. I'm drawn to their emphasis on tailoring and clean lines. I love the idea of bringing in a light hue that you can easily pair back to creamy neutrals and black.

HOW TO WEAR IT …

Neutral blazers have a lot of versatility whether styling them with lighter colors or black. I would pair it with a tailored short by Rohé or with straight leg denim from Tove (size up for a slouchier fit). Break up the look with a classic belt (I have this belt from The Row and wear it nearly everyday but also love the Anderson's version that I call in for photo shoots). Wear it with flats from Aeyde in a beautiful mocha color (mixing black and browns feels sophisticated yet modern). Finish it with these earrings from Studio Dévé.

3.

THE BAG

Number one on my wishlist this spring is the Ease by Métier in suede Marrakech. I imagine wearing this in the evenings with a summer skirt or dress. Although it's small, there's a discrete exterior pocket for your phone and can be worn as a shoulder bag. A true investment.

HOW TO WEAR IT …

I never gravitated towards skirts but this season I’m loving a 90s silhouette paired with a classic t-shirt. I prefer to make it less formal with a t-shirt from Cos or my favorite summer version from Officine Generale in a beautiful nubby linen. The necklace from The Row is in store only but here is another option is from Agmes.

THE DESTINATION:

101 SPRING STREET

I’m always exploring new places and each issue I will feature a new destination in the world of travel, art, food and design that inspires my moodboard. This week my inspiration comes from 101 Spring Street, which features some of Donald Judd's works. I always revisit it and return to his muted color palettes and rich textures.
